Alternative Payment Discounts
Whereas W.G. Bourne’s mission is to liberate our clients by equipping and encouraging them to buy and sell with real money instead of fiats and tokens, we reward those who use non-centrally-controlled methods of trading for our Goldbacks and accessories. Three such options are listed below. The use of any of them activates a 1.2% discount on your order– the highest we are allowed to give per our distribution contract.
OPTION 1: Trade In-person or by Mail
We accept cash, postal money orders, some retailers’ money orders, precious gems, other items, and even services we happen to need at the time of your order. Yes, it’s a bit “Old School”, but it’s how people successfully traded for thousands of years before commercialization of the Internet. If you would like to trade tangible assets for Goldbacks or our other products, please click the button below to send your request to us via email. Then hit Close This Window to go back to the Cart. Take a screen shot of the order you just entered and include it in your email, then cancel that order. When we receive your email, we will reply to make arrangements for your trade.

OPTION 2: Pay By Electronic Gift Card
In addition to the fact that most companies do not charge a fee to buy or send a gift card, this clever payment method also keeps your credit card company and/or bank from tracking your gold purchase.
To trade via this method, simply follow the three easy steps below.
- Go to your account with Walmart, Costco, Amazon or some other national retailer and buy an electronic gift card in the amount due for your trade with W.G. Bourne.
- When the retailer’s on-line form asks where the digital card should be emailed, enter goldbacks@wgbourne.com into the field for the recipient’s email address.
- Once you complete the purchase process, send an email to goldbacks@wgbourne.com to confirm that we received the gift card.
*If, during the card purchase process, you are asked for the physical address of the gift card recipient, use any address you’d like– even your own address. The address doesn’t matter because you will not be sending the card in the mail; you will be emailing it to us.
OPTION 3: Pay By Precious Metals Funds Transfer
- Click the button below to create your free account with United Precious Metals Association, a private, members-only association. Whereas UPMA is not a bank affiliated with the Federal Reserve, no Social Security Number is required in order to set-up an account. You can even use an alias. Clicking Trade Using UPMA Account below will take you to the sign-up page where you can create a free account, allowing you to trade with us on the UPMA platform. The account creation process takes about 10 minutes using the button below.
- Fund your account using your preferred method, such as credit card, wire transfer, ACH, bank check, or by mailing Federal Reserve Notes to UPMA. When you fund the account, you will be asked how you wish to store your funds. The options are gold, silver, or Goldbacks. Funds stored in Goldbacks incur no vaulting (storage) fees.
- Once your UPMA account is funded, go into your dashboard and transfer the necessary quantity of Goldbacks from your account to W.G. Bourne’s UPMA account. As a UPMA member, the transfer of Goldbacks in your account to W.G. Bourne’s account– or to the account of any other member– will be free and instantaneous, and our transactions will not be reported to third parties.
